Exercise is one of my favorite parts about leading a healthy lifestyle. It makes me feel good, look good and gives me more confidence (which I was in dire need of). I was lacking any self-confidence and the thought of putting on a bikini was horrifying, but I got myself there and I was the only one who could change it. We had tried a couple of home workout programs P90X, Insanity and Chalene Extreme (all great programs). Chalene Extreme was great and an easy program to follow. It incorporated weights (no cardio, which I was okay with ;)). It was what first introduced me to lifting weights, and I was hooked.

When I decided to give serious weight training a go, I never even thought of becoming bulky, because when I discovered the Jamie Eason Livefit Trainer, there was a picture of Jamie and her figure is so amazing (not bulky/manly in the slightest). But it is a concern for many women. Women’s testosterone levels are a fraction of mens levels, so it is impossible without the help of anabolic steroids or testosterone injections to become big or bulky. If you are wanting to change your shape, create curves, and gain some muscle definition, you will have to incorporate heavy lifting into your routine. This means no more pink 1 lb dumbbells for endless reps.

Then came Crossfit. I have found my happy place when it comes to working out. My love for fitness lies here.

Crossfit.com. Crossfit has become my exercise of choice. I can’t say enough good things about it. It has changed me. It makes me excited each day I go. The workout is always different, the coaches are amazing and I challenge myself every time. Both mentally and physically. The community is amazing. Every workout can be scaled. But the intensity is always relative to the athlete.

bodybuilding.com – This website is amazing! You can order your supplements, get free exercise programs, recipes, menu plans, search exercises and so much more. I have utilized this website a lot, since I used to workout from home and needed to substitute certain exercises on the Livefit Trainer.
