I made a goal to post every week, and I am not sure where times goes!!! But I just want to thank you all for continuing to read my blog even though I don’t always have time to sit down and write (my baby seems to have taken up my thoughts :)). When I first began blogging, I thought I could sit down, rattle off a post in 15 minutes and call it a day, but was I mistaken! The shortest of blogs can take me anywhere between 1/2 an hour to an hour. I do promise this to you, I don’t blog just to blog. I genuinely love writing on here, and will only share things I find valuable (mostly desserts ;)). So again thank you for following me, even if I don’t always have my poop in a group. I am sure it will only get better when my baby is here!
But today what I wanted to share is that I GOT A JUICER! I have had it for about a month now, and I love it! It is an amazing way to get in more vegetables daily….way more! And plus, it tastes great! You can juice just about anything, but I would suggest sticking to some recipes to get started, I must admit, I have made some pretty rancid concoctions. Where in the world did I get the idea to start juicing, I read Kris Carr’s Crazy Sexy Diet (not it’s not another diet book). It is extremely informative and I love to keep expanding my knowledge on health. I also watched the documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead, which really sparked something in me to want to juice. I researched some juices that were suitable for me to drink while pregnant, which I must say some days I just don’t want to eat my veggies, so this really works for me. I wish I would have had it much earlier in my pregnancy.What kind of juicer did I buy? Well I am the type of person that goes hard or go home, I went with a Breville Juice Fountain Elite. There are soooo many different kinds of juicers, from $70 to thousands of dollars and either masticating or centrifugal. I went with a centrifugal and I love it, but maybe down the road I will get a masticating juicer. I am not a juicing expert, and don’t end up juicing everyday, but I am making an effort to include one daily juice.
The juice above contains beets, carrots, kale, celery and cucumber, it made enough to serve 2!
