Well, as you can tell by the title of my post, I’M BACK! I had an amazing vacation, and if I won the lottery, I might have moved to Maui :). But I didn’t, and that means back to reality, which is actually really exciting. My vacation was full of spending time with family, sun, ocean, sand and relaxing. I got to witness my Grandma get married, my family zipline, part of the Hyundai Golf Tournament, and some absolutely beautiful beaches. Having time to relax and be completely stress free, lets you do some deeper thinking than usual. It helps put a lot of your life into perspective, and realize what an amazing gift life is, and also the people who are in it. I have come back completely inspired to be a better person and live an even healthier life.
Island life is so refreshing, the food is so fresh and the taste is even better. We had a cafe downstairs in our lobby called Aina Gourmet Market, and visited it almost every day. It is was so refreshing to see them offer such healthy choices. Not all choices were healthy, but they made some amazing smoothies and breakfast bowls. I can honestly say, I have never eaten so many salads in my life on a holiday (not that, that’s a bad thing). Having a salad is always a safe choice when dining out, and adding either chicken, fish or beans (ask for it to be cooked without oil or butter), but I did enjoy a dessert or two (I’m only human!). I seriously couldn’t ask for a better family and cherished the time I got to spend with all of them :).
Since we stayed in a condo, we cooked some of our own meals. Everyday breakfast consisted of rolled oats, chia seeds, blueberries, strawberries, almond milk and Greek yogurt.
Now for the exciting news part! If you noticed in the second last picture, I am the only one not zip lining and in the last picture my body doesn’t look overly bikini ready, and the reason for these things…. I am pregnant!!!!!!!!! Ahhhh that feels so much better ;). It has been sooo hard keeping my secret, but I was just waiting for the right time to share. I figured it might be hard after my trip to Maui and posting bikini pictures to keep it a secret anymore. Tomorrow marks 17 weeks. My husband and I are MORE than excited to be welcoming a baby in June and becoming parents. Now that the cat (or should I say baby) is out of the bag, I will be sharing more pregnancy based information on my blog and Facebook page!
I hope everyone had a Happy New Years and is ready to start their year off right!
What are your New Years Resolutions, and how are you going to stick with them??
