I wanted to share this with everyone before I forgot to (I could compare my memory to that of a 90 year senile woman, my husband and friends could vouch for this). But I had an awesome question last night and wanted to share my answer on here. I was asked my opinion on flavored/vitamin waters, and you may already know my response but I am not a huge fan of added sugar to, well anything! I prefer taking the natural route as much as possible and this is one of those times. Although I must admit, some companies are sneaky and don’t put the nutritional facts on the bottle, but non the less, here is what I do instead of drinking fruit flavored waters with added sugar. It’s really hard and takes a lot of time, but it’s worth it. JUST JOKING, it
is one of THE simplest recipe I have ever posted on my blog. All you have to do is cut up whatever fruit you like throw it in a pitcher of water, let it sit for about 12-24 hours (if you can’t wait like me, I just cut it up and put it in a glass) and there you have it, fruit flavored water. This is save you a TON of money and empty calories. It also makes drinking copious amounts of water enjoyable ;). I would also choose organic fruit if it is an option, since it will be soaking in your water for a period of time.
My fruit flavored consists of pineapples, peaches and strawberries ;).
I also wanted to share this amazing clothing company called Firedaughter. Her name is Samya, and she makes the cutest fitness related tanks, tees and sweatshirts! Make sure to check out her goods ;).
Working out gives you an excuse to have to buy cute work out clothes, and also makes a great gift for yourself once you have accomplished a goal!
I hope you are all ready for the weekend, but remember living fit is not a 9-5 Monday to Friday job, it is a LIFESTYLE! Don’t let the weekend ruin all your hard work. If you change nothing, nothing will change. If you weekends consists running here, there and everywhere, pack a cooler for yourself and kids (if you have them ;)) if eating at home isn’t an option. Living a healthy lifestyle requires preparation, but every minute is worth it.
