Running


Yes, running. I love exercising, but I must admit, I enjoy weight training A LOT more than running. Sometimes I just get this urge to run, and picture myself in my head running and feeling stress free and amazing, then I hop on the treadmill and my legs feel like they weigh 100 pounds each. I just thank god you can achieve a strong, muscular body without an immense amount of cardio. Too much cardio will actually help deplete your hard-earned muscle.

I must admit, since joining crossfit, my trainer has incorporated more running into our workouts, and I am slowly progressing! I LOVE crossfit, it incorporates so many different muscle groups and cardio all in one session, so I don’t have to run on the treadmill and watch as the seconds tick by. SNACK TIME

Here is my 3:00 p.m snack. They are turkey meatloaf muffins from Jamie Eason’s recipes on the bodybuilding.com website with half an avocado (I spread it on top).

For dinner was shrimp tossed in coconut oil and Mrs. Dash (spicy), broccolini and 1/2 cup brown rice. It was super easy, quick (10 minutes, rice was pre-made in my rice cooker) and delicious.

RUNNING WOD

10 ROUNDS FOR TIME

One round includes – 100 m run followed by 10 burpees then run another 100 m followed by 10 kettlebell swings
