Miracle Mile

We had crossfit this morning and did a workout called the “Miracle Mile”. I think the reason they named it that, because it is a miracle if you can finish it ;). I kept telling myself only 1oo meters of lunges left. I thought I was pretty decent at doing lunges, but apparently I am not good at pushing through the lactic acid buildup in my ass ;). If you want to take your workout outside the gym, as hard as it was, I would definitely recommend doing the “Miracle Mile”. It is one of those workouts, that once you are done, you feel like you can take on the world and have pushed yourself harder than you thought you could!

*If you don’t have weights at home, get creative. Use milk jugs filled with sand, sand bags, and for Pete sake, use your kid if you have too ;), just get it done!

It is day 5 of Jump-start July and I have another smoothie recipe for you! This recipe is brought to you by, my friend and devoted reader, Lacey. It is one of her favorite smoothie’s and I can see why!

Lacey’s Greek Goddess

1 banana
2 scoops of vanilla protein powder
2 tsp of almond butter
1 tsp of flax-seed
1/2 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt

Blend all ingredients until smooth.

You can also add a little milk for a larger shake!

I am thrilled with all of the amazing smoothie ideas everyone has been sending me! I appreciate it, so keep them coming!

If you have any nutrition or fitness questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I will help you to the best of my knowledge, and I can always call my “people” to get you the answer ;).

I hope everyone is having a beautiful summer evening, and is ready for Friday!

I loved this quote, so I had to share!
