Double Whammy!

First thing is first, I want to apologize for already missing a smoothie posting day! The reason, I go to go river boating! Yesterday we went golfing and were making lunch and then were heading to the gym, when my husband’s cousin text me and asked if we wanted to go. We jumped on the chance to enjoy a day on the river. It was wonderful! So today I will post two smoothie recipes, because I am a woman of my word!

The first recipe is a smoothie my husband makes when he is in a hurry or when he needs to refuel before golfing.

The Refuel

1 cup almond milk

1-2 cups spinach

1 scoop vanilla protein

1/2 cup rolled oats (uncooked)

1 scoop flaxseed

1/3 banana


Blend all ingredients until smooth.


The next smoothie is an old school favorite!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

1 cup milk

1/2 cup strawberries

1/3 banana

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1 tbsp almond butter

1 tbsp chia seeds


*If you would like to get your greens in, add 1 – 2 cups of spinach/kale. You won’t even be able to taste them, and adds so much nutrition to your smoothie!

Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Since it is Tuesday, that means I had crossfit today. What it also means is I have a new warm-up to share! Our trainer comes up some great warm ups that get your blood pumping, and today was no exception. Alright enough talking, here it is!

300 m row (if your gym doesn’t have a rowing machine, you could do sprints on a track or treadmill)

10 back extensions

10 crossfit sit ups

It was short, sweet and effective!
