Mid Week Motivation


MOTIVATION

I hope everyone’s week is awesome so far! I am feeling super motivated right now, all thanks to someone named Ashley Conrad. On my Facebook “Newsfeed” yesterday was an article posted by Bodybuilding.com. The article was about training your abs, but what caught my attention was the picture of the trainer and a little white arrow pointing to her, with a caption saying “She Trains Bradley Cooper”. I wanted to know who “She” was! I clicked on the article, found out her name and searched Facebook for her page (thank God for Facebook ;)). I had some time to read through her page and watch her videos today, and all I can say is WOW. Her videos are extremely motivating and informational, and so is her advice. She shares an immense amount of information out of the goodness of her heart, because she is so dedicated to what she does, she wants to help everyone! I highly suggest checking out her page and watching her videos! Watching her videos makes me want to train harder and keep living this lifestyle!

I thought I would share with you a workout she posted on her “Wall”:

“Here’s a workout for everyone who “doesn’t have time” to workout…give me 20 minutes….I’ll give you a better body: 100 push-ups / 100 lunges / 100 dips / 100 seconds of plank / 100 jumping jacks / 100 punches / 100 seconds of running in place. YOU DON’T NEED A GYM TO GET SHREDDED….#NOMOREEXCUSES”

I told my Husband about this workout, and he wants to do it, so once we complete it, I will post the aftermath and our results!

NEW GYM!

I also wanted to tell you that the new pool and workout facility is now open!!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am! I have been there 4 times since it opened last Friday! Although we achieved so much from working out at home, it is nice to have a fully equipped gym, and I can now continue to increase my weights. It also provides a sense of motivation while you are there, because for some reason watching others train, can motivate you to work harder.

TRAINING

Although I love the Livefit Trainer, I felt the need to switch up my training routine (I have done the Trainer 3, or is it 4 times now ;)). I want to continue to see gains and progress, and your muscles need change in order for that to happen, so I will share with you the program my husband and I are doing right now. It is called the Dumbbell & Barbell Mass Workout from the Muscle & Strength website. I am going to do it for a month, and then see where I should go from there. I have been hearing very positive feedback from James Wilson’s 12 Week Program, so I may try that once I am done. I will keep you posted on what I decide! But for now I am loving our new workouts. I am always looking for new programs and ways of training, so if you have a favorite program please let me know!

If you are wondering if we are going to continue going to Crossfit, the answer is YES. I can’t imagine not going, the more I do it, the more I love it. I love the challenge and variety Crossfit offers. I am now a believer that you do not always need heavy weights to gain muscle.

I hope everyone is eating clean and training mean this week! I am hoping to get in a few more posts this week before I go fishing on Sunday! That means no posts for a whole 6 days 😦 as I will have no internet or cell phone reception out in the boonies ;). But just think about how much I will have to say when I get back ;).
