These Are a Few of my Favorite Things


Good Evening!

I know I said I would be back with a post yesterday, so I suppose I told a little white lie, but I am here now ;). I have been a busy beaver (haha) the last couple of days, working, cooking, cleaning and of course working out! No matter how busy I am, I always make time for a workout. I schedule important appointments, and working out is important to me, so I schedule it into my day. My own personal preference is to work out in the morning before my day starts, this ensures I can work out with a clear mind, and sometimes my days don’t go as planned, and this way my workout is never missed (I get kind of grumpy when that happens ;)). I don’t work out because I like it, I work out because I genuinely love it!

Tomorrow we are off to Crossfit again! My quads and traps are tender (which might be an understatement) from yesterday, but I am not going to lie, I kind of like it when I am sore, it means I worked hard! In case you are interested in why I am sore (if not I am going to tell you anyways ;), here is the workout we did:

2000 Meter Row (after the first 1000m I wondered how the hell I would get through the next 1000m)

50 Pistol Squats  (I had to use the assistance of a pole to help me get through all 50)

30 Hang Cleans – I used 55 pounds

I had sweat dripping into my eye sockets after this workout, it was intense, but felt amazing once I had completed it. I have to go to work after crossfit on Tuesdays and I find it hard to even put on my make up, my arms are usually dead!

Tonight I wanted to share some of my favorite blogs and Facebook pages to read or subscribe to. I find a lot of my inspiration on becoming a better me, comes from reading advice and ideas from these sources. I am subscribed to all walks of life from fitness models to stay at home mothers, and each and every one of them are so motivational.
