It’s Sunday and also the last day before most have to go back to work tomorrow, so make every second count. Get up and get moving! Go for a walk with your family or your dog, go swimming, hit the gym or do a home workout. Most people use Sunday to laze around and have their “cheat” meal, but you aren’t most people, and that means you won’t look like most people! I share these ideas from experience. My husband and I used to order Chinese food every Sunday, even the lady at the restaurant knew our names. It is hard to believe (a little embarrassing) and divulge some of my old habits, but you can’t change something until you can be truthful with yourself.
I now prefer to use Sunday as my recharge day. I sleep in, well better put I don’t use an alarm clock (I’m usually still up by 8), eat breakfast and relax. We usually find ourselves getting antsy around 10, so we throw on our workout gear and get our sweat on. There is no better feeling than starting your day off on the right foot. Then you have the rest of the day to do whatever you want! Today, my husband took me out to the driving range after our leg workout. Lets just say I am not the best golfer, but I try (really hard). I think taking golf lessons are in my best interest, but I love learning new sports, so wish me luck!
You can also use Sunday as your food prep day if you are busy during the week and don’t have the time to devote to cooking meals every day. This way you are prepared for whatever the week may bring!
What’s your favorite Sunday Funday activity??
I have a new recipe to share with you all! It is one of my favorite breakfast’s and pre-workout meals. I am for warning you, they sinfully delicious, so much so you might even forget it is good for you! Enough talking, here’s the recipe.
Banana Pancakes For One
1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup Egg whites
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Cinnamon
Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend until well combined. Pour batter onto pre-heated skillet and cook like regular pancakes. I sometimes use 1 tsp organic pure maple syrup.
Right now I am on the hunt for some new workout tunes. They don’t have to be new songs, just new to me! So if you have some music that pumps you up at the gym, please share it with me!
