I am feeling a little under the weather today, which I may be able to blame on lack of sleep in my life (I have to blame something). But there are no good excuses as to why I go to bed so late, just my night owl tendencies. Most people start eating more healthfully once they are sick, I already eat healthy so what is a girl to do? Well I for now I added a couple of oranges to my day, some ginger tea and Echinacea, we will see where this takes me.
But enough gripping, life is still wonderful and I have a really easy and great recipe to share with you.My husband and I had homemade turkey burgers last night. I would love to share a picture with you when I actually remember to take pictures of my food (taking pictures is not my strong suit). I promise I will work on this!
1 package of Turkey
1 tbsp Mustard (I love mustard)
1/4 cup Egg whites (add more or less depending on how much turkey you use)
1 tsp Mrs. Dash spicy
1 tsp Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb
(You can use which ever vegetables you like for your burger)
1) Mix first 5 ingredients in bowl together.
2) Once thoroughly mixed make into which ever size patties you prefer, and put either on the bbq or in the oven.
3) Cook until burgers are no longer pink inside.
I don’t eat wheat much anymore, so an alternative to using a bun is using a piece of romaine or iceberg lettuce to place your vegetables and burger inside.
If you have any ideas for recipes you would like to see me post about, please feel free to let me know.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed their weekend, and is refreshed and ready to start a new week. If you are working tomorrow, do you have your lunch packed? If you aren’t, do you have everything you need at home to be prepared for your meals? Remember, preparation is the key to your success. Happy Sunday!
