Welcome to Winter!!! I don’t like to believe the forecast until I see it, well it sure didn’t lie. We have copious amounts snow now, someone please send me back to Phoenix! For those of you that are not experiencing such a thing, I envy you! What is better than a cup of CLEAN hot chocolate on a snowy Saturday?! For one, warmer weather, but we can’t change it, so we might as well make the best of it.
You can use regular cocoa powder, or if you are able to pick up some unsweetened natural cocoa powder even better! You can usually find the unsweetened cocoa powder at your local grocery store or health food store.
For those unfortunate souls that have to work today (myself included) I did have to pack a lunch. In my Sixpack cooler today:
1) Mid Morning snack – Protein Shake – 1 scoop of whey, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 2 cups spinach, 1/2 cup frozen berries.
2) Lunch – 5 oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup brown rice, 1/4 cup yams (ran out, so I had to add in some brown rice), roasted brussel sprouts, zucchini, and asparagus.
3) Mid Afternoon snack – Protein shake – 1 scoop of whey with 1 cup almond milk, an apple and some carrot sticks.
Supper will be homemade turkey burgers, but I will post that recipe later! Have a great snowy Saturday!
