Since I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday, I thought I would take this time to wish all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day. Now with that said, I don’t need a specific holiday to appreciate my mom, although I do agree that they deserve a day completely devoted to them. I hope one day I can become half as amazing as my mom. She is my best friend, my shoulder to cry on, can make me laugh (no matter how mad I am) and most of all she is always there for me, no matter how far we are apart (5 phone calls a day makes it feel like she is here ;)). You might think it is her that does all the phoning, but I think we are pretty equal ;)!
With that said, I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, and are ready to take on another week! What I was going to say was “ready to get back at it”, but that isn’t true, because you should treat everyday the same! It doesn’t matter whether it is Monday or Saturday, make sure you get that work out in and make every meal a healthy one. Don’t let weekends be a free for all, because you can derail all of the hard work you put in during the week.
Now, since today was so beautiful, and there is nothing better than a delicious iced coffee on a warm day, I thought I would share this easy and delicious recipe with you, before you enter the Starbucks drive-thru and drink a
calorie-bomb frappuccino ;).
We are off to Crossfit tomorrow morning, and I head to work right after, so tonight I will be packing my lunch and snacks, preparing my gym bag and setting out my work out clothes on my dresser tonight! Preparation is key to success. If you work tomorrow, pack your lunch tonight, instead of scrambling in the morning.If you are busy in the mornings prepare breakfast ahead of time (banana bread or crockpot oatmeal). I know I have said it many times, but PREPARE, PREPARE, PREPARE.
